Description

Time to submit the site to Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Google Webmaster Tools / Google Search Console

Got around to submitting the site to Google through the Webmaster Tools and Search Console. The XML sitemap passed with no issues. I am kind of curious why Google requests that all forms of the site are setup as different site properties. HTTPS, HTTP, www and non-www address? This seems odd, especially when Google has publicly said that HTTP is going away and HTTPS is a ranking factor. Fragmenting the sites statistics and tools when a primary protocol and default sub domain are primary doesn't make much sense to me. Sure which I had access to a Google Search Engineer.

Bing Webmaster Tools

Bing is and has been in a sad state, constantly behind the king of search (Google). It is nice to see that they continue to build up their Webmaster Tool set. Also great to see that their search engine market share is up to 24%, according to https://www.statista.com/statistics/267161/market-share-of-search-engines-in-the-united-states/. Bing also soaked up the Dynamic XML sitemap with not problems. Not that I expected any different, just nice to check that one off the list.

Oath/Yahoo!?

Oath came up on the link above and I am curious to see what happens with Yahoo! O.o Pretty sure they are still partnered up with Bing. Should probably verify that.
