Description

Pagination is a common feature in any listing page. With the amount of development articles I have been posting, I quickly realized, I was going to need to address paging. But I didn't want to just accept the standard implementation.

My plan didn't come all together yesterday or today. I wasn't really able to knock items off my list. I did, however, manage to make some serious progress on images. During the process I also learned some new things ways to improve my web design and graphic design workflows.

Description

During tonight's testing with the Facebook Sharing Debugger, I found something interesting. After running the debugger and testing a link post preview on my wall, I noticed that preview image was cut off. This is not acceptable.

My attempt at getting caught up on web design and development is going much slower than I had hoped. Much of this is due to the need for a .svg editor. The only viable option for me, at the moment, is Adobe Illustrator.

Google Ads (Google AdWords) conversion tracking using Google Analytics

Description

One of the websites I administer utilizes Google Analytics using the analytics.js implementation for stats tracking. The website also utilizes a Google Ads account. After reviewing the Google Analytics information, it appears as though some of the Google Ads conversions aren't being tracked correctly. It is my goal to find out why.

Description

Testing in the Facebook open graph share validator, an error came up for an image that was missing on the website. The error message stated that the image dimensions were missing for that image. There was also mention of improved performance by providing the og:image:width and og:image:height tags.

jQuery Date and Time Picker

Description

During the initial development of the administrative tools for this site, I required a date and time field to represent the published, created and last modified dates. Due to time constraints, I just tossed on the default date picker included with the jQuery UI library. The problem with this solution is that it doesn't support selection of time, only dates. Time to find a better solution.
